Today Cisco’s security product is the premiere comprehensive threat intelligence solution, stopping cyber attacks and providing real-time threat education.

Back in 2006, IronPort support team was extending to manage, maintain and support clients in the APAC region. IronPort (part of Cisco now) was looking for a reliable partner who understood his business and technology.

Sonata was ready and able to deploy a custom solution for Scott that quickly addressed his most pressing need for client support. Within a few short months the team’s mandate expanded to operations and first-level support. Eventually Sonata team has grown to support Cisco’s security product around the globe.

The renowned security experts are a combined team from, Sourcefire’s Vulnerability Research Team, the Cisco Threat Research and Communications group and the Cisco Security Applications group.

It was 2004, and DemandTec was one of the fastest growing companies in the retail and CP enterprise software space. At the time they were managing over 100 clients including Wal-Mart, Safeway, Best Buy, Tyson and Pepsi. Business was theirs to loose, but they had a problem: new business engagements were limited due to bandwidth constraints on the development and support side.

Dan Fishback was the CEO and an experienced sales executive at the time. He realized that to move his business forward he needed a reliable partner with experience in the industry to help him expand quickly.

Within four short months, Sonata had deployed an expert team of over 90 developers focused in the areas of development, operations, support and quality assuarance.

In December 2011 IBM announced it’s intent to purchase DemandTec; the deal closed in February 2012.

Today DemandTech is a proud offering in the IBM product suite of enterprise solutions serving over 400 of the largest commercial products and retailers around the world.


IBM DemandTec is a suite of cloud-based merchandising applications for retailers. Offerings are available for both physical (store) and digital channels, and include lifecycle price management and optimization, promotion management and optimization, promotion execution, deal management, assortment optimization, and shopper insights. IBM DemandTech software and analytical services utilize a science-based platform to model and understand consumer behavior.

Today’s connected world touches all aspects of our lives. In 2015 TaylorMade had an exciting opportunity; extend and enhance their brand opportunity by creating custom IP onto a commercially available wearable.

Wearable devices and the internet of things (IoT) allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit. When IoT is augmented with sensors and actuators, the technology becomes an instance of the more general class of cyber-physical systems, which also encompasses technologies such as smart grids, smart homes, intelligent transportation and smart cities.

At TaylorMade the art and science of golf means tracking every shot and finding ways to continuously improve your game.

The co-branding relationship with Microsoft was the perfect opportunity for TaylorMade to successfully deploy into the wearables market, without taking on the challenge of entering yet another wearable device. The solution was a software integrated application within the existing Microsoft band.

The concept of myRoundPro was born!

So where does a 37 year old golf company turn when they need to develop cutting-edge solutions into the wearables market?


Sonata was ready and able to create a custom solution for TaylorMade. 40k+ golf courses across 5 countries containing 11m individual course details became the master data set of the myRoundPro product for TaylorMade. Within 45 days, Sonata deployed a team of 75 engineers to bring myRoundPro to market on time and under budget.

With TaylorMade’s myRoundPro you can now track your rounds enabling you to keep a record of your scores, view every shot on a map of the course and begin to identify areas for improvement. Based on the record of your scores, myRoundPro analyzes golfers’ statistics in further detail and includes new data such as Strokes Gained, proximity to the hole and other classic statistics such as fairways hit and greens in regulation. All developed to help the golfer adapt and improve.
